How To Get Graco High Chair Cover Off – I bought a boys high chair at a garage sale for $12 (here’s a new version similar to this one). It works great for us, but I don’t care for the style. So I decided to make a new DIY high chair cover. The material for the cover cost me about $5, so it’s not all bad.

1. I removed the old cover, put on the new fabric and cut around it. Using a rotary cutter and rotary cutting bed makes this project very easy.

2. I also took some fabric and placed a high chair cover on top and cut the back of the chair cover.

3. I decided I wanted to hold some toys on the back of the high chair cover, so I grabbed some fabric, covered the high chair cover and cut it out. pocket

4. To get the finished edge, I stitched the edge and cross-stitched.

5. I then placed the pocket on the back of the top seat cover, then sewed the edges, leaving the pocket open.

6. For the back shell of my chair, I used very thick cardboard, so I placed the front of the building right side up on the fabric and trimmed the edges.

7. So I put the front to one side and cut the back (with the pocket). I put the right side of the pocket on the fur, sewed the two together, left a small opening, and turned it out.

8. I turned it inside out and then crimped the edges, leaving a 1/4 inch allowance.

9. Then I put it all together. Fleece lining, center back (with pocket), front, face down. I pinned these all together and sewed the edges, leaving a 1/4 inch allowance.

10. I drilled a small hole in the bottom of the high chair cover so I could turn it inside out. After opening the cover, I sewed the top and closed the gap at the bottom. I put the envelope on the high chair. I was unhappy with the sides, so I added a bit of padding to the sides of the cover to prevent the sides from sliding sideways and to make it look a little more finished.

These aren’t the most clear instructions, I’m sorry about that, but as confusing as they are, I thought they might be useful for anyone looking to make a DIY high chair cover.

Of course you could make a high chair cover that could be completely different or even better, but I chose to approach the challenge. It’s not perfect and I can still tweak it a bit, but I really like it and I hope you do too.

Printed fabric on the front and soft white fabric on the back.
