Make a cut on the bench using a miter saw and a 2×3: 4 pieces @ 24 1/2″ (side line) 2 pieces @ 30 1/4″ (side line) 5 pieces @ 28 3/4″. My 1x3s are about 1/16 apart and I want the measurements to be accurate so there are no gaps. Drive 2-inch nails through the legs of the 2×3, one 1×3 at a time. Starting at the top of the 2×3, cut 1 3/4″. Waterproof with 2/2″ Kreg Wire and wood glue. Make sure the pocket holes are facing the front of the seat frame. Then add the floor boards using the remaining three planks of 27 1/4″ wood and 2 1/2″ Kreg Wire and waterproof wood. 5″ apart. *Note: As shown in the photo and video, I only used two 8½-inch wooden boards. Holes, Sand and Fill the Bench Outside Steps The last step is to fill the channels with nails and wood filler. Add sand as needed.
